Also known as a fineblind, the horizontally aligned slats held by polyester ladder braids create the modern tidy
look which can only be acheived with a venetian blind.
The following information is for
venetian blinds with a 25mm wide slat. All blinds are manufactured with colour co-ordinating
cords, head and bottom rails, and a tilt wand mechanisms for tilting the slats through
180 degrees.
·
Slats can be angled to give total privacy. It is also
possible to give privacy and allow light to come in.
·
Slats set at a certain angle will allow you see out, and stop
people seeing in.
·
Light can be directed around a room to reduce glare in certain
areas. For example, reducing the glare on TV and computer screens.
·
Blinds can be raised up to leave the window space clear and
open.
·
Venetian blinds have a very small stacking depth even over
long drops.
·
Lightweight and suitable for fixing to weaker materials such
as plasterboard.
·
Can be ordered in a gloss or matt finish. A super-matt
finish is also now available, giving a very soft look to even the largest blinds.
·
Venetian blinds can now be fitted into the perfect fit™
frame system for the ultimate unobtrusive look. Particularly suitable for conservatories.

to doors or tilt windows.
·

o
A mixture of colours can be added into one blind.
·
Privacy Slating (25mm only)
o
The blind is essentially the same as the standard; however,
the routed holes are eliminated in favour of a small cut-out at the back of the
slating. This means that the pull cords do not run through the slats, but instead
run at the back. The removal of these punched holes makes a massive difference to
the amount of light that penetrates the blind, and gives a new look to an already
attractive blind.
·
Electronic Tilt Operation
o
The headrail can be manufactured with a battery operated motor to
allow the slats to be tilted by remote control.

Maximum and Minimum Sizes
o
The minimum width for a venetian blind is 210mm. The maximum
width is 2600mm. After the maximum width of 2600mm, it is recommended that
the Continent system be used. The continent system simply has a bigger, heavier
duty Headrail, and is capable of reaching a maximum width of 4000mm.
Note: it is advisable
to consider using the same headrail system in situations where there are more than
one blind next to each other – such as a bay window. For example, there are
two blinds in a bay window at 800mm wide, and one window at 2200mm wide. The
2800mm wide blind needs the continent headrail system, and so it would be advisable
to use the same continent headrail for the smaller blinds as well, so that the look
is consistent.
·
The continent headrail is available in a limited number of
colours, and will colour co-ordinated to the chosen slat colour. An exact
match cannot always be guaranteed. A colour co-ordination chart is available from
our office.
·
The widths of 25mm venetian blinds are made to a tolerance of 3mm, and the
drops are made to a tolerance of 5mm. Therefore, blinds that are positioned next
to each other may show a slight difference in height even though they have been
ordered at the same drop.
